Ofer Shouval is a Brooklyn-based musician, visual artist, and educator whose performances and interactive installations explore the interplay between movement and light. After graduating from UT Austin with a BS in Radio Television Film, Shouval spent the next few years playing in and touring with bands, in the process becoming very interested in the intersection of technology and art - specifically in developing new technological tools which could transform the visual language of live performance. This interest led him to enroll in the Interactive Arts program at Pratt Institute, receiving his MFA in May 2021. Now an adjunct professor at NYU and Parsons, he continues to produce music under the moniker O. Wake, developing interactive lighting systems and incorporating them into his live performances, and fostering a community of like minded artists. resume
